Every worthwhile way to see Niagara Falls

Niagara listings overlap heavily. These are the formats that genuinely differ — which side of the border they run on, whether the boat and Cave of the Winds tickets are included, and how long you actually spend at the falls.

How booking a Niagara Falls trip works

1 · Know what is free

Walking into Niagara Falls State Park costs nothing, 365 days a year. You pay for the attractions inside it (a 2026 Maid of the Mist adult ticket is $30.25) and for parking, not for the view.

2 · Decide on the border

The Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds and the park's viewpoints need no passport. Crossing the Rainbow Bridge to the Canadian side does: US citizens must carry a valid passport, and the way back needs one too.

3 · Check the season

The Maid of the Mist runs only from spring to November 8 in 2026, and spring opening depends on ice in Lake Erie. Cave of the Winds and the park stay open all year.
